We have visited Fiesole from Australia several times over the years and each time we have eaten here. Food is excellent  we highly recommend the Bistecca Fiorentina. Waiters were generally friendly except on one occasion we struck a rather rude and indifferent character.

Is this the best restaurant in Florence? Certainly the best in Fiesole and surely most of Florence.  Though the menu is not large, every item we had amongst 3 people was wonderful. The flavours and combinations can be intense, yet often subtle as well, and all delightfully pleasing. The dishes are unique to this restaurant and it is so well worth the short journey to Fiesole.The staff are very invested in good service and communication. They are welcoming and friendly. They explain the menu with care and pride (in English if necessary) and are known for their use of local ingredients and also extensive, exclusive local wines.If the weather is good enough, sitting outside with the view to Florence available is one of those moments to savour deeply.  However the restaurant inside is also cosy and pleasant with a sleek modern air.

High quality ingredients prepared to perfection. The drive to this location was very adventurous.

The service is in place in the restaurant, we walked in, brought us a seat near the window, there is a bilingual menu, so ordering this is not a big problem, and also sent us a pre-dinner bread.

Lasagna and Gnocchi were both very good. House wine was excellent. Service was good. Atmosphere was beautiful. Not easy to get to or get back from Florence&hellip;just keep in mind. No taxis available at about 9:30-10. Had to take bus, which was fun.

This is where the locals eat! Highly recommended by a tour guide in Rome, the bistecca fiorentina was out of the world. A ways out of the city but totally worth it.

Not fresh food, tagliata and ossobuco was a real diseaster. Hard to eat
